The Synergy of Chiropractic and Physiotherapy

LIVE LOUD physiotherapy complements our chiropractic care to increase the effectiveness of your treatment plan and deliver maximum results.

Our rehabilitation programs, fitness coaching, and everyday care utilize both physiotherapy and chiropractic to relieve aches and pains and improve mobility.

While each is a safe, non-invasive method to diagnose and treat common healthcare conditions, when used together, they enhance one another for a more powerful approach.

We think of it as synergy…the combined impact of chiropractic and physiotherapy is greater than the sum of their separate effects.

And at LIVE LOUD, we are all about creating a greater impact!

Antonio is terrific, he provides Chiropractic care, physical therapy and personal training all at once.   I am 67, an RN and have seen numerous chiropractic Doctors since I was 32 for a variety of issues, whiplash, sports accidents, etc.  I saw Antonio 3 months ago due to incapacitating lower back pain.  He reduced pain with treatment and the exercises he instructed me to do.  I had also been having chronic knee pain and had seen 4 other Doctors for this.  Antonio prescribed the most effective exercises, he is like seeing 3 professionals at one time.  If you want a kind very well informed Doctor and want to participate in your well being see Antonio!

What is Physiotherapy and How Is It Different Than Chiropractic?

Physiotherapy (physical therapy) focuses on restoring function, strength, and mobility to the body when you’re injured, ill, or affected by disability.

Therapies include physical methods such as stretches, joint mobilization, massage, therapeutic exercise, light therapy, electrical stimulation, hot and cold therapy, nutrition, and education.

Chiropractic, on the other hand, uses manipulation to correct joint restrictions and restore function in order to eliminate pain and help you move better.

Chiropractic doctors study pathology, radiology, physiology, clinical examination, and laboratory diagnosis, but physiotherapists do not.

And you’ll need a referral to see a physiotherapist, but anyone can visit a chiropractor.

Finally, the medical community only identifies medical doctors (MD), doctors of osteopathy (DO), and doctors of chiropractic (DC) as physicians.

For chiropractic doctors, then, physiotherapy is considered an adjunct therapy, meaning it’s used to complement the primary chiropractic treatment.

At LIVE LOUD, we go above and beyond standard five-minute adjustments to bring you complete care that produces significantly better outcomes.

Sometimes that means leading with physiotherapy to prepare the surrounding tissue for a chiropractic adjustment. In other cases, it means correcting the joint restriction with an adjustment and following up with physiotherapy to keep things in place and functioning properly long-term.

After caring for thousands of Boulder County adventurers, our doctors are experts at evaluating your neuromusculoskeletal system and determining which approach will be most effective.

I highly recommend Live Loud! I came in looking for “just” a chiropractor because of neck pain training for a 10k swim, but Antonio offers so much more.  I would almost compare my appointments to what I would hope a physical therapy appointment would look like, being treated with corrective exercises, manual therapy, and adjustments.  Antonio is knowledgeable and he cares.  I’ve made tremendous improvements in the last 3 months swimming, biking and feeling better as a whole.  I recommend Antonio to anyone looking to move and feel better.
